At the 2021 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day conference held recently, Wang Zhiqin, vice president of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, introduced that by the end of March, China had built a total of 819,000 5G base stations, accounting for more than 70% of the global total, and the number of 5G terminal connections exceeded 280 million. The four major operators will continue to deploy 5G large-scale networking and jointly explore 5G integrated applications with enterprises.
The value of drones lies in forming an aerial platform, combining other components to expand applications, and replacing humans to complete aerial operations. With the gradual maturity of drone R&D technology and a significant reduction in manufacturing costs, drones have been widely used in various fields. In addition to military uses, they also include civilian fields such as agricultural plant protection, power inspection, law enforcement, geological exploration, environmental monitoring, forest fire prevention, and film and television aerial photography, and their applicable fields are rapidly expanding.
At the same time, with the continuous deepening of China's urbanization process, the urban population is becoming more concentrated; the proportion of the elderly population has increased significantly; urban construction is developing in an intensive and integrated manner; urban building density is increasing year by year; high-rise buildings are increasing year by year (especially high-rise buildings above 50 meters and super-high-rise buildings above 100 meters); the layout of some cities is in a deformed state (new towns and old towns, urban areas and industrial areas, shanty towns and commercial areas are intertwined); and the safety hazards of places where people gather are increasing, posing great challenges to urban fire rescue: 1. Some building fire safety has "hard injuries," and it is difficult to renovate "old" high-rise buildings; 2. Daily fire safety management still has "soft weaknesses," the use attributes of high-rise buildings are unclear, and the phenomenon of "residential to non-residential," office to residential, and residential to commercial changes is serious; 3. Fire fighting is "difficult," high-rise buildings have high floors, complex functions, and numerous vertical pipelines. Once a fire occurs, it is easy to produce a "chimney effect," rapid spread, slow evacuation, and great difficulty in fighting fires, which has always been an international fire problem.
In the face of such a severe fire rescue situation, the existing single-dimensional emergency rescue system can hardly meet the needs of urban development. Traditional fire protection uses the building's own fire automatic alarm system and fire automatic sprinkler system for early fire prevention and control, relying on public fire facilities, professional firefighters, fire trucks, and aerial ladders for mid-term fire suppression and personnel rescue; however, there are many problems in the actual rescue process:
Chongqing Zhongyue Aviation Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s 5G integrated drone project is based on the basic research of "5G + drones." It addresses the existing pain points and difficulties in the emergency rescue field and constructs a city-wide grid-based three-dimensional air-ground emergency rescue system applicable to urban fire rescue, comprehensive prevention and control of emergencies, and urban disaster rescue.
