I. Basic Situation
Around 1:00 PM on March 29, 2024, Zhongyue Aviation participated in a wildfire fighting drill. On the way back to Chongqing, while passing through Shaanxi Yulin section, a wildfire was suddenly discovered on the highway. The fire area exceeded 1000 square meters, and the fire had spread to the side of the highway. The smoke from the fire drifted onto the highway, obstructing the vision of passing vehicles, causing them to drive slowly. The situation was extremely dangerous.

II. Rescue Operation
After parking, personnel were immediately organized to conduct temporary traffic diversion and control, and set up a drone operation site. At the same time, preparations were made for drone-mounted dry powder fire extinguishing bombs.
After loading the dry powder fire extinguishing bombs, the drone immediately took off and dropped the bombs on the fire head, quickly suppressing the fire. After multiple flights and dropping operations, the fire was basically brought under control, effectively preventing its spread.

While conducting fire extinguishing operations, a 119 fire alarm call was made to report the situation. At the same time as the drone dropped the fire extinguishing bombs, the vehicle-mounted water cannon of the ZY-50 drone vehicle-mounted system was used to quickly extinguish the fire, cool the area, and prevent re-ignition.

The equipment used in the Shaanxi Yulin wildfire rescue mainly includes: ZY-50 one-vehicle-two-drone unmanned aerial vehicle mobile operation platform, Guardian ZY-XF50 heavy-duty fire rescue drone, and throw-type dry powder fire extinguishing bombs.

III. Case Summary
In this rescue operation, the ability of drones to quickly deploy, suppress, and strike in emergencies was fully demonstrated. The entire fire scene operation took only about ten minutes to completely extinguish, verifying the high efficiency of drone fire fighting operations.
In large-scale forest fire rescue operations, drones can fly over the fire scene, reach the depths of the fire, and conduct comprehensive and timely control of the fire, effectively preventing the rapid spread of the fire. It also avoids the casualties that can occur when rescue personnel enter the fire scene during traditional wildfire rescue. It fully demonstrates the advanced and practical application of new emergency rescue equipment in forest fires.
